“I wanted to write and let you know about our great buying experience we had at Eagle Ridge. We were spending thousands of dollars fixing up our old home on a normal basis. My wife and I finally came to the conclusion that we should buy a new home and have it built the way we want, rather than continuing to fork out money fixing up our old home. We spend weeks going to all the different sub- divisions in Greeley and some of the surrounding areas looking for homes that we might like. Some subdivisions had very pushy salespeople, others were unfriendly or unhelpful, and some had terrible workmanship in the homes. One sales person actually turned up his nose and completely ignored us. We are a young couple with kids and this sales person walked around us to help an older couple that walked in behind us.

We finally drove through the Eagle Ridge subdivision and fell in love with the area. It looked like a family oriented subdivision and had a pool and playground that our kids could spend time at. We quickly went home and got the kids from the babysitter and brought them back to see what they thought. They were extremely excited, so we went to the model homes to see how we liked the housing. We walked in and immediately were astonished with the workmanship we saw. We were soon greeted by Jim Ambrose and he offered to help us and show us around. Two other couples walked in right behind us and Jim told them he would be with them momentarily and continued to show us around.

Jim was not pushy and we felt very comfortable working with him. He showed us the standard workmanship that goes into each house and explained how the workmanship was very important in their homes and how they took pride in their workmanship. The oak trim was very appealing and was something we really wanted. Other subdivisions were going to charge us a few thousand dollars extra to add oak inside the homes. We were very excited to find out this was standard. Jim showed us some of the different house plans and showed us the available lots.

We were also able to add upgrades to our home and make design changes that we wanted. No other subdivision gave us this option. We were actually able to build a house we wanted, rather than buying a pre-built home with no option to add any design changes to meet our wants and needs. We were also able to choose all our flooring and lighting and weren’t stuck getting the standard items. We again were able to add exactly what we wanted. Jim was always very helpful in getting us exactly what we wanted and never said you can’t do that. He made everything work for us.

During the building process, we were able to go out to the house and take pictures on a daily basis. The builders were friendly and always greeted us with a smile. Anytime we had questions or concerns, Jim was always there to answer our questions and help out. We were never put on the side-burner so he could move forward selling houses to others. We were always treated with respect.

We ran into some problems getting our old house under contract and our lender changed our numbers on us and could no longer get us the money we needed to close. Jim was there to help us out again. He was able to get us hooked up with a lender that was able to get us the financing we needed plus extra. This was very helpful since we had to sell our old home for over $10,000.00 less that we intended. He was also able to give us suggestions on how to get our old home under contract and was able to supply us with another realtor if things didn’t work out with our current realtor. Jim seems to know somebody that could help us out for anything we needed. After moving in, I ran into troubles building our fence, so again I went to Jim asking for help. The fencing people he recommended did a wonderful job on our fence.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We have the neighborhood we wanted, the house we wanted, the workmanship we wanted, the upgrades we wanted, and all at a price we could afford. There is NOWHERE else in Greeley that could have given us everything we got here. Jim’s friendliness, knowledge, and ability to work with us without being the least bit pushy, won us over immediately. Then seeing the workmanship, lot prices, home prices, and upgrade options let us know immediately we would choose this subdivision to live in. Even though it took us a few weeks to decide on what style of home we wanted, we had made up our minds that this is where we wanted to live without any hesitation. I had questions and concerns about every other subdivision we visited, but this one left me without any doubt.

“I have been meaning to drop you a note for a few months now. We sold our house in Eagle Ridge last summer in just two days

We are living in Colorado Springs now, and have moved into a new house we built a couple of months ago. This is actually why I am writing. We ended up investing a great deal more in the purchase price of our home here in Colorado Springs than we did with our home at Eagle Ridge. The home is big and nice, but we had certain expectations about the buying and building process based upon our experience with you and PLS. We felt that since we were paying more money, getting more square feet, etc, that the service should be commensurate or better as well.

Unfortunately, it appears that you raised the bar too high when we built our home at Eagle Ridge. The service that you provided was much better and the process overall was much crisper. We were also a little spoiled by the amount of selections that we had for flooring, lighting etc, when we bought our home through you. We built a “semi-custom” home this time around too, and we really felt the selections fell short.

I made a promise to myself a while back that I would make the effort to let people know when I thought they did a good job. Everything about our experience in Eagle Ridge was really fantastic. In addition to loving our home, we loved the neighborhood. Thanks again. Keep up the good work!”

“Our relationship with Progressive Living Structures began over three years ago. We first visited Eagle Ridge when the model homes had just been framed and Jim Ambrose was working out of a trailer. Michael was in school full-time and were living on a very small income with two young children. Our chances of buying a home seemed very slim. Jim, however, was encouraging and positive and helped us to start thinking realistically about owning a home.

During the next year, Jim called occasionally, just to see how we were doing and to let us know about price changes. He was never pushy, just friendly. We appreciated Jim so much during that time and as graduation approached for Michael we began seriously looking into buying a home at Eagle Ridge. Jim expertly helped us through that process and wouldn’t let us give up hope even when circumstances seemed grim.

April 29th of this year was our two-year anniversary in our home and as we prepare to relocate for Michael’s work, we leave Eagle Ridge with some sadness. This was the first home we have owned and we loved living here.

First, Bill, we thank you for helping with all the details and the financial side of things. We’re glad we took your recommendations to insulate the garage and to add the hot water recirculation system. We thank Mary Jane Schilling for working with us to make sure all the numbers turned out correctly. We appreciate how helpful Ann Klappenbach is when dealing with our service calls.

Mark Librande has been a wonderful resource in helping us choose exterior colors, many interior details (including some excellent ideas on low-voltage wiring) and advising us on how to work through the whole home construction process. He has a fine sense of the neighborhood, its people and its aesthetics.

Dan Mulder is an amazing building superintendent. We watched him double-check every inch of every aspect of our house, coordinating thousands of details and never, never quitting until everything was done perfectly. He has an incredible knowledge of the house building process and is so very helpful and patient in explaining these intricacies to first-time home builders like us. He is incredibly skilled at problem-solving and working in partnership with suppliers and subcontractors to create win-win situations. We’re so grateful he takes such pride in his work. We know our house is sound because Dan made sure it is. We’re grateful he’s still helping to fine tune it to make sure we continue to be happy with it.

Joe Dippolito impresses us very much as someone who is knowledgeable and dedicated to doing a fine quality job and working as hard as possible to please his customers. He is very patient with our questions and responds promptly to our concerns. He gave a wonderful walk-through before we moved in and continues to educate us on the ins and outs of our new house. We were very grateful when he dealt immediately with our broken garage door emergency on the Friday after Thanksgiving so we could get Bill’s car out of the garage. We know he continues to work hard to deal with the odds and ends that come up as service calls.

Michael Saenz has done a wonderful job cleaning and polishing our new house. I am very allergic to dust and mold and I have every confidence Michael cleaned so thoroughly there won’t be a particle of these left!

We have also been pleased with all the subcontractors and suppliers working for PLS. We know if PLS approves them, we can trust them. The respect and good manners of all the subcontractors and suppliers make it so much easier to live in the middle of a construction site. (We know this won’t be a construction site for long as these homes are selling so quickly).

We believe that if PLS builds it, it’s not just a house, it’s a home.

“We just want to say Thank You very much for making the purchase of our first new home: such a pleasant and exciting experience. We enjoyed watching our house being built from start to finish. And it was fun picking out the colors and the tile, carpet etc., and then seeing it all come together.

We’ve been in our new house for just a little over a month and it’s starting to look like home. Our yard is in, and the fence is up, and most of the unpacking is finished.

Starting with the beginning; we looked at quite a few homes around Fort Collins before we saw your homes advertised in the newspaper. When we came to see them we were very impressed with the floor plans and the construction.
Then there was Mark Librande! What an immense help he was. He made the whole purchasing experience so easy. He spent lots of time going over every large and small detail (even when we were in California). We absolutely could not have gone through this without him. We have had new homes built in the past and to be able to make all the changes we wanted without any hassles was really nice. It is one thing that makes a house a home and personalizes the house for the buyer.

Every person we have dealt with from the framers, electricians, dry waller’s and the finisher, Joe, have been an extreme help. It is amazing to us that you can have a whole team of people that would stop by to say “hi, can we help you,” whenever we stopped by to see the progress of the house, they were all so nice.
Last of all came Vivian, with the loan. She spent an endless amount of time talking through everything with us, also, sometimes from California. Thank you Vivian.

In December, 2005, we first looked at the Marquette model home. We had just begun considering a move from south of Boulder. After looking at other new home communities over several months, we kept coming back to Le Jardin. Our decision to purchase a home in Le Jardin was fairly easy: the quality of the home itself, the design, and the location met all of our criteria. Another factor that led to our choosing Le Jardin was that we felt this would be a very good neighborhood for us. Deb, we appreciate your interest in having us meet our new neighbors before we even moved in.

We greatly appreciated the on-going and regular contact with key people as the building began. All of our concerns and requests were answered quickly and honestly. As we watched the building process continue, we were always impressed with the overall quality and attention to detail. We were also pleased that we were able to customize the home in so many ways that truly made it “our” home. Shortly before completion, two design/finish misunderstandings were identified. PLS corrected them without any debate and at no cost to us. We appreciate the manner in which these issues were dealt with.

Now that we are in our new home, we are experiencing the same great customer service. It’s great to know that the builder’s first priority is ensuring that we are completely satisfied with the home PLS has built for us.”
